Freshping alternative

Freshping is gone. Here is where your monitors can go.

Freshworks announced the end of Freshping on 5 January 2026 and switched off the free plan on 6 March 2026; the remaining data was deleted about 90 days later. If your sites have been unmonitored since then, m0nitor gives you a free plan with uptime checks, a public status page and email alerts, run by a German company.

A free plan that stays

The free plan includes 20 monitors with HTTP, HTTPS and ping checks every two minutes from up to three regions, email alerts and one public status page. No credit card and no end date.

Status page included

Freshping users often relied on its public status page. m0nitor includes a hosted status page with subscribers on the free plan and your own domain from Pro.

Built to stay

Monitoring is the whole product, not a side tool in a larger suite. m0nitor is operated by NETARO UG (haftungsbeschränkt) and hosted in German data centres.

Set up in minutes

Freshping data cannot be exported any more, so recreate monitors by URL: paste a target, pick an interval and the first check runs within seconds. The API and MCP server help with larger lists.

Feature m0nitor Freshping
Availability Active, free plan available Discontinued on 6 March 2026
Free monitors 20 per project 50 (before the shutdown)
Free check interval 2 minutes 1 minute (before the shutdown)

Where Freshping was more generous: its free plan offered 50 monitors and one-minute checks, more than m0nitor gives for free today. If you need more than 20 monitors, the Pro plan covers 25 per project across five projects, and Scale and Business go further.

Frequently asked questions

When did Freshping shut down?

Freshworks announced the retirement on 5 January 2026. Free plan access ended on 6 March 2026, paid plans ran until the end of their subscription, and the data was deleted about 90 days after the shutdown.

Can I import my Freshping monitors into m0nitor?

Freshping no longer offers access or exports, so there is nothing left to import. Recreate the monitors by URL; for long lists, the REST API or the MCP server can create them in bulk.

Is m0nitor free like Freshping was?

Yes. The free plan has no time limit and no credit card. It is smaller than Freshping was (20 instead of 50 monitors), but it includes a public status page.

Where is m0nitor hosted?

In German data centres, operated by the German company NETARO UG (haftungsbeschränkt), aligned with GDPR.
